Man down. Unfortunately Hubby has joined the ranks of the afflicted and so our short term plans have had to change. One of the advantages of van life is its almost total flexibility.
We knew that for the first week of October we would need to be settled in a comfortable spot with all the necessary facilities. Hubby has a work assignment that week and we had picked out a campsite in Virgen Del Mar as a good location for us to set up home and office. Our plan had been to make our way there over one or two stages and to explore the coast, the Laredo area and maybe the mountains along the way. With both of us having succumbed to the plague we decide to make one move and to hunkered down in recovery mode. And that is what we have done.
We have explored the nearby beach and cliffs on some very short excursions when we feel up to some fresh air and gentle exercise. This leaves us excited to feel well enough to really get out and about in to this place of natural beauty and beyond to Santander.
Oh dear! Hope you are both getting better and what better company then the Virgen Del Mar junto Al Mar. Glad you have the essentials of home there ( the two of you ) . Keeping you both in our prayers.
Tim
Thanks Tim, we are slowly coming round in the last few days. Happy to be back on our feet, it was quite the knock out. You would love this spot, wild and beautiful, a place of pilgrimage and the geology is off the scale. C
